He
entered many national and international competitions in Italy,
France and Germany, where he picked up top honours. He also has
worked with acclaimed accordionists such as Elzbet Mozer, Jacque
Morne and Matti Rantanen
In 2002, ivorad was accepted by the National Conservatory
of Music in Marseilles where he studied with Professor Zan-Mark
Fabiano. In his first year in Marseilles, he received 'd'unanimite'
- a superior level award and was invited to play at a concert
in the Napoleon Palace in Marseilles. He also won a top prize
in the 'Gala Trophy of Reine Quilici' which was followed by
a special charity concert at the Theatre De la Criee. In 2004
ivorad received a scholarship to the Royal Academy of
Music where he currently studies with Professor Owen Murray.
He is recognized as one of the Academy's leading classical accordionists.
Being
a highly acclaimed classical accordionist from a very young
age has never stopped ivorad from playing folk music.
In his words, “...everybody in Serbia is born with a passion
for their music. It naturally accompanies life on all occasions,
if happy or sad. This is just the way we live. You can't imagine
any celebration without music creating the most amazing atmosphere.
The accordion is counted as one of the favourite instruments..."
Embedded
in this tradition, ivorad grew up performing and expressing
himself through his music. Experiencing him play Eastern European
music makes "your heart melt and your soul dance...
